Brixton was born in 2004, offering stylish and wearable pieces emulating a mixture of the old and new. The clean cut garments are on trend as well as being great quality. The styles are modern but bring back retro vibes; classic 90’s London with women’s accessories, then a 70’s feel with the menswear (fedoras and crisp yet funky shirts). Appealing to all of us, Brixton brings a story of three friends building an empire of eclectic fashion you know you want.

Starting with women’s accessories, I just love all the fisherman caps on offer, emulating old school London these are definitely a must for any fashionista looking for that standout piece – I’m feeling Kate Moss back in the 90’s. The BRIXTON logo is smart yet subtle and comes in so many colours, its hard not to love them. Moving on to the baseball caps and flat peaks, the BRIXTON branding is slick and stylish, each of the caps come in a variety of colours, it would be a hard choice to make. (Brooke Cap $80)

The mens lookbook offers a stylish and smart selection of fashion, while the images bring an underground street feel. The long sleeve slogan tees and iconic pins bring us back to cool London much like the women’s accessories. The whole collection ties with each other nicely and is shopable that way. The lookbook itself is dreamy to scroll through, especially when we get to the ‘road trip, gas station shots’ the fashion emulates summer days particularly the mens shirts which come in an abundance of designs and colours, flattering fits with funky patterns is the key here.
One thing that stands out to me about this brand is that the collections are so large, and quality so high, but also the sense of community that you get when arriving at the website, the widespread collection and diverse colour options are enough to appeal to everyone – yet we are also introduced to the brand ambassadors themselves in a series of urban photos on the site. Seeing the bridge between the buyer and the brand is not only interesting, but encouraging, this in addition to monthly photo competitions and weekly blog posts makes for a streetwear brand who you know wants to deliver the best to you.
